Музей архитектуры и дизайна в Екатеринбурге размещен в бывших цехах Екатеринбургской механической фабрики. Основная экспозиция музея посвящена истории архитектуры и градостроительства Урала.

Фонды музея насчитывают более 45 тысяч предметов истории архитектуры, градостроительства, промышленной техники.
Лучшие образцы уральской архитектуры конца XVII–XX веков представлены в репликах, информационной графике, живописи и фотографиях.
Кроме того, в музее представлена история Уральского государственного архитектурно-художественного университета, регулярно проводятся выставки, посвященные промышленному, графическому и экологическому дизайну.
Экспозиция музея под открытым небом демонстрирует крупное промышленное оборудование уральских фабрик и заводов.
